Crystal-clear water, narrow canyon passages, rapids and almost untouched stretches of river make the Cijevna exceptionally attractive for packrafting and kayaking, activities that combine nature exploration, hiking and river descents.
Sections of the river within Cijevna Canyon Natural Monument offer a particularly memorable experience. Here the river cuts through an impressive karst canyon, forming rapids, natural pools and calmer stretches enclosed by steep cliffs. Packrafting and kayaking provide a completely different perspective, directly from the water and from parts of the canyon that are difficult to reach by land.

One of CEPF’s principal objectives is to ensure the active involvement of civil society in biodiversity conservation.
The development of the Cijevna Canyon Natural Monument website was funded by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) through a two-year project implemented by Parks Dinarides – Network of Protected Areas of Dinarides.
